Frequently Asked Questions

What is Peak Perspective?

Peak Perspective is a doctor-led health consulting service focused on prevention, longevity and helping you understand your health more clearly. Rather than simply treating illness, consultations focus on identifying health risks, interpreting existing information, discussing evidence-based strategies and helping you make informed decisions about your long-term health.

Who is Peak Perspective for?

Peak Perspective is designed for people who want to take a proactive approach to their health. Many patients are interested in preventing cardiovascular disease, improving metabolic health, understanding their test results, or developing a practical plan for healthy ageing.

How is Peak Perspective different from seeing my regular GP?

We believe your regular GP is the cornerstone of your healthcare. Peak Perspective complements, rather than replaces, your GP. Our consultations provide the time for a broader look at prevention, cardiovascular and metabolic risk, sleep, nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle factors that influence long-term wellbeing.

Can you prescribe medications or order tests?

Yes, in some circumstances. As fully qualified medical practitioners, we can prescribe medications and order investigations where clinically appropriate. However, in most cases, we believe your regular GP is best placed to manage ongoing prescriptions and coordinate follow-up care.

Will you recommend supplements?

Only when there is good evidence that they are likely to provide benefit. Peak Perspective does not sell supplements or receive commissions from supplement companies.

Can you review existing blood tests?

Yes. Many people have blood tests or specialist reports but are unsure what they mean. A consultation can help place these results into the broader context of your overall health and future risk.

Is this only for older people?

No. Prevention is often most effective before disease develops. Many people begin thinking about their long-term health in their 30s or 40s, while others seek advice later in life.

What makes Peak Perspective different?

Peak Perspective is built around three principles: Clarity (understanding what matters), Evidence (recommendations based on medical evidence), and Independence (advice not influenced by selling products or programs).

Will you communicate with my GP?

We will provide you with a comprehensive health assessment and personalised management plan in PDF format. You are welcome to share this with your GP to support your ongoing care.

What information will I receive after my consultation?

Following a comprehensive one-hour consultation covering your current health, exercise, nutrition, sleep, medications, supplements and individual risk factors, you will receive access to your own secure private webpage. Your personalised health page will include a summary of your consultation, your management plan, and a collection of evidence-based information sheets selected specifically for your health needs. You will also receive a PDF copy of your health assessment and management plan for your records.
